Dr. Ilinca Iuraşcu

Ilinca Iuraşcu (CENES) specializes in German media theory and material culture studies, with particular focus on 19th c. technological and institutional transfers (between textual and audio-visual networks). She is a co-editor (with Geoffrey Winthrop-Young and Jussi Parikka) for the Theory, Culture & Society special issue on “Cultural Techniques” 30.6 (2013) and the translator of Markus Krajewski’s The Server: A Media History of Assistance (forthcoming from Yale UP). Recent theses and dissertations co-supervised on 19th and 20th c. fiction, cultural studies and new media theory.
